In the infographic below, I explain the choice-based system, an innovative market-based food allocation system using a fake currency called "shares" that allows Feeding America to more efficiently distribute food to food banks across the country based on their individual needs.


This not only explains how food banks get the food they distribute, it's also an interesting example that highlights the power of markets.
